Better Body Foods Review

It all began with founder of Better Body Foods Stephen Richards and his passion for cooking.

Stephen comes from a family where diabetes are present so he was on the hunt for ways to keep healthy .

It wasn't until 2007 when Stephen learned about agave nectar and took liking, he then traveled to the central region of Mexico where agave grows.

He spent quality time with the farmers and the industry workers where he was taught the benefits of agave nectar and the product as well.

Years later Stephen concocted his own agave nectar where he began selling it to small business retailers and that is how better body foods was born!

Business was booming and began to expand with coconut oil, powdered peanut butter, coconut palm sugar, coconut flour, chia, quinoa and bourbon vanilla pure extract!

I was provided with some Better Body Foods products for review and here is what I chose to sample!

I love experimenting in the kitchen with all things coconut, I guess you can say I'm a little cuckoo for coconut!

I just can't help it!

Coconut oil isn't just used for baking you can use it for so many things from removing makeup, moisturizing your skin and oil pulling to help rid your mouth of toxins and gums to cleanse the body in a more natural way.
With Christmas just a week away, wait what how did that happen? I've been baking up a storm in the kitchen with Betterbodyfoods

Coconut Flour:
You remember my delicious pumpkin muffins from Thanksgiving right? Well they're back but with a twist and they are oh so delicious with tart plump
cranberries and crunchy walnuts on top with a sprinkle of cinnamon!

Preheat oven to 350 degrees

  • 1/2 cup coconut flour
  •     1 cup of canned or fresh pumpkin
  •     1/4 cup of melted coconut oil
  •      1/4 cup whipped cinnamon honey
  •     4 eggs
  •     3/4 tablespoon of pumpkin pie spice
  •     1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  •     1/4 teaspoon pink Himalayan salt
  • 1/2 cup of fresh whole cranberries
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon
  • Chopped walnuts for topping
1.  In a large bowl mix coconut flour, pumpkin pie spice, and give it a mix
2.  In another bowl toss in your canned or fresh pumpkin, melted coconut oil, honey, eggs, and mix with a spatula
3. Carefully add in your wet ingredients to the bowl of dry ingredients and mix evenly till there are no lumps
4. Add in the extract along with baking soda and mix.

5.fold in dry cranberries
6.Use a spoon to extract the batter and drop it into your muffin paper cups or muffin pan.
7. Sprinkle on cinnamon and diced walnuts
Then Bake at 350 degrees for a total of 25 to 30 minutes.

let cool for a total of 15 minutes before eating and enjoy!

Bourbon madagascar vanilla extract:
It's sweet and delicate taste with floral undertones sure does add phenomenal flavor to any baked good from muffins, cupcakes and more! Even as an air freshener, scrubs and lotions!

Ever since I experimented with Tigernuts and made milk out of their deliciously crunchy yet sweet little tuber I contemplated the idea of making almond milk and I'm so glad I did because it was so creamy, decadent and delicious!

Naturally refined coconut oil:
Oh the weather outside is frightful  and the soups so delightful! See what I did there? when the weather is chilly there's nothing better to warm up with than a piping hot bowl of butternut squash  soup seasoned with cinnamon and nutmeg! This soup is easy to make and is delicious with or without toppings which I added a pinch of pumpkin pie spice, tangy cranberries and mapley crunchy walnuts for added crunch!

I've tried other coconut oils before and was surprised that this one didn't really have a coconut flavor which made it interesting being that I haven't ever tried refined coconut oil before but it is good no matter what you use it for whether it be cooking, baking and more!

Extra Virgin Coconut Oil:
This coconut oil right here sure made one delicious pumpkin muffin it was nutty, it was sweet, it was moist, it was flavorful and so good! Loved the sweet and nuttiness from the coconut oil really balanced out the bitterness from the pumpkin along with the tangy cranberries!
